Trees surround me,As I walk home.
The sun sets
In the far horizon.
Animals scamper
To get home before dark
Nocturnal animals
Come out to
Enjoy the night.
The forest is
My playground
And where I learn
About the nature and Animals around me.
Missouri has a lot of farmland and agriculture is big, but there are also many cities with buildings. One of these cities is Columbia. I think Columbia Missouri is a nice place to live. Though there are not many trees or wooded areas as much as there are in other places, there are nice big oak trees that are fun to climb in. Also, there are a lot of gumball trees where in autumn the spiky gumballs will fall of and children will gather them before the bus would come. I would sit and watch my siblings gather the gumballs and toss them into the streets in the hope that the bus would run over them and get a flat tire, which of course never worked. Yet, it was fun to do all the same. at that time, my bus stop was my driveway and there were two bus stops on my street. My street was also on a hill, which made it fun for riding bikes, but not for mowing the lawn. There are many Duplexes in Columbia, and one of my best friends live in one across the street from me. Once in school we each got a red Dogwood tree and were todl that the tree was the state tree. My grandpa took me up to his farm and helped me plant it, yet there are so many trees there, we are not sure if it survived. All of Missouri was nice, but Columbia will always be home for me.
