Anime
Most people I have met recently have liked anime, and honestly, it surprises me. Where I used to live, nobody really liked it. But anime is awesome! That's the only reason I really use sites like www.gaiaonline.com or www.quizilla.com. They are good places to talk about anime, read fanfics on your favorite character, or role-play in either pms or messages. One of my favorite animes is Wolf's Rain or Yu Yu Hakuso(sp?)! Although I used to watch Beyblade, I only do because my favorite character, Rei Kon, is in that show. I think that mangas are occasionally overpriced though. Because you can buy a 500-700 book for maybe $4-5. But mangas cost around $10. But anyone else around here like anime?Labels: anime, beyblade, reikon, wolf's rain, yuyu hakusho
What if?
What would happen if you could fly wherever you wanted? When would you use this ability?
If I could fly wherever I wanted, I would fly all around the world. I would first go to Japan, then Germany, and then China. I would fly anywhere I could to see the wolves and research them thoroughly. I would use this ability whenever I had some free time on my hands. It would be fun to fly around before having to go to bed at night.
What would happen if there were no televisions? Why would this be good? bad?
If there were no televisions, then maybe people would start to do other things to entertain themselves, like reading a book. This would be good because if they were reading, their reading skills would become better. And if they had a test, they could study instead of being interested in the TV.
What if all the streets were rivers? What would be different?
If all the streets were rivers, then we wouldn’t have cars. Instead of a highway, we might call it a waterway. Everyone would have his or her own boat. Or maybe some people would swim if they were very talented swimmers. Basically, vehicles would be replaced with boats and motorboats.
What would happen if people never co-operated? Why do you think it is important to co-operate?
If people never co-operated, nothing would ever get done. There would be many fights and many people killed. Co-operating is important so that this world can stay a bit more peaceful. And also, things need to get done. If nobody co-operated to get food, then everyone could die of starvation.
What would happen if it really did rain cats and dogs?
If it really did rain cats and dogs, then every time it rained, people would have to make sure that they were under a shelter of some sort. Because if they weren’t, then they’d get crushed by the huge dogs and scratched by the cats that fall on them. Plus, with how often and how much it can rain, this world would be overpopulated with cats and dogs.
What would happen if animals could talk? What are some of the questions you would like to ask animals?
If animals could talk, that would be totally awesome! I would talk to my dogs all the time. Instead of asking them what they want and just having to guess by their body language, then they could actually tell me what they want. And then it would be easier to learn about wolves because I could ask them questions about their habitats and how they survive and they could answer.
What would happen if everyone wore the same clothes?
If everyone wore the same clothes, then it would be rather difficult to tell people apart. But at least then just your clothes wouldn’t categorize you into rich or poor. Maybe then people will get to know people before judging them.
What would happen if you threw a piece of trash on the ground? What if everyone did?
If I threw a piece of trash on the ground, then I would pick it up again and throw it away in a trashcan. If everyone threw a piece of trash on the ground, then the world would be completely littered. The air would become more polluted than it currently is, and many animals would die from just eating the trash.
What if you could walk up walls and across ceilings?
If I could walk up walls and across ceilings, I’d have a lot of fun. If I was playing hide and seek with one of my siblings, they would never think to look on the ceiling. And it would be easier than climbing over things if you were packing to move.
What would happen if you grew taller than trees? How would this change your life?
If I grew taller than trees, that would be scary. People wouldn’t call me tiny. But I really wouldn’t want to be taller than a tree because I like the height I am now. I don’t mind being short. >.<
What would happen if there were no cars, buses, trains, boats, or planes? How would this change your life?
If there were no vehicles like that, then everyone would walk or ride a bike to get places. It would be a lot safer for our environment, and then people would be getting more exercise. But the times for things would have to change, or we’d have to build more schools.
What if everyone lived under water? Where would people live? What games would children play? What would school be like?
If everyone lived underwater, then we’d probably live in sea caves. Kids would race to see who could swim faster and better. School would be interesting because we wouldn’t be able to talk that well. We’d have to find new thing to write on too.
What would happen if you found gold in your backyard?
If I found gold in my backyard, then I would put enough in my bank account to help pay for college, a future house, and a car. Anything left over I would give to my parents to help pay things off. And if there were more after that, I would donate it to Wolf Research companies.
What would you do if a bully bothered you on your way home?
I would ignore him or her and be on my way. I don’t really pay attention to those kind of people. If they continued to bother me, I’d threaten to call the police.
What would you do if you did very poorly of a test?
I would be upset. I would do anything extra credit that I could to help my grade. That way I wouldn’t get any bad grades and I’d stay ungrounded.
What would you do if a friend borrows things from you but never returns them?
I would go over to my friend’s house and ask them kindly if I could have them back. If they said that they didn’t know where my stuff was, or they didn’t want to, I’d wait till my friend was asleep then I’d search myself.
What would you do if you were the teacher and everyone forgot his homework?
I would make them do for homework the next night along with that night’s homework. Then when they turned it in, I’d only give them half-credit. If they complained, I’d give them more homework.
What would you do if you were in the middle of the lake and your boat began to leak?
I would use my cell phone to call someone and hope that they would get there before it would sink. While waiting, I would try and get the water out and plug the hole. If there was not much water in the boat, then I’d plug the hole and try to get to shore. If worse came to worse, I’d swim to shore.
What would you do if your friend had a broken leg? How would you cheer him up?
I would sign the cast and put a happy face on it. (=^-^=) Then I’d try and get my friend to stop thinking about how their leg was broken.
What would you do if you woke up in another country and no one could understand you?
I would be very confused. If I couldn’t find a way home, I’d by a dictionary that would help me and try to understand the people. If that didn’t work, then I’d use my cell to call home. Then my parents would be able to find a way to get me home.
What would you do if you ordered an ice cream cone and you forgot to bring money?
I just wouldn’t get the ice cream. Instead I’d go home and get money. Then if I still felt like having ice cream, I’d go back an reorder it.
What would you do if someone got in front of you when you were in line at the movies?
I would tell them that I was in front. If they did not move I would probably just ignore them and hope that other people didn’t cut. Or I would get in front of the person myself. It happens all the time at lunch.
What would you do if only one hot dog is left and neither you nor your friend have had one?
I would let my friend have it. I don’t particularly like hot dogs, and I’d rather have y friend eat. If they wouldn’t take it, then I’d make sure that we split it.
What would you do if two of your best friends went to the movies without inviting you?
I’d feel a little hurt and left out. But I wouldn’t say anything. Instead I’d make sure to go to the movies with another friend. Plus, I rarely have the money to go to the movies and I don’t like using my friends’ money.
What would you do if you got a present you didn't like?
I would pretend to use it. Then I’d put it away. Whenever the person that got it for me was around, I’d use it to make them happy.
What would you do if you promised to feed your pet and you didn't?
I wouldn’t be too happy with myself. The animals deserve to eat too. If I forgot to feed them, then I would get up and feed them right when I remember.
What would you do if someone told you a joke that you don't think is funny?
Plain and simple. I wouldn’t laugh. I’d probably give the person a weird look and ask what the point of the joke was.
What would you do if you wanted to be friends with someone who spoke no English? I would try to learn their language. If that didn’t work, then I’d try to teach them English. But I’d hope they would know German, since I am learning that language.Labels: answers, if, questions, what
Coming Next Summer
Summer 2007, look for a book called The Feedsack Dress by Carolyn Mulford. It is very good and I recommend it for reading!Labels: 2007, book, Feedsack dress, Mulford, summer
If I could choose the president
If I could choose the president, I would choose, my friend, Ty.
I would choose Ty because he loves wolves a lot. So he would do all he could to ensure that wolves had a high chance of becoming known around the United States. He would make sure that there were no killing plans for wolves. They would be illegal to hunt. He would also set up wolf breeding programs and programs to teach people how shy wolves really are. And how they are not all that dangerous. Maybe under his influence, we could also replenish some forests that perished in humanization.
I believe that Ty would do well at his job. I think it’s possible that he would find ways to try and make online conversations safer without having to worry so much about predators. Maybe after that, parents will be less protective over the computer and more teenagers would be allowed on the Internet and forums to discuss things and learn a wide variety of opinion from people they know along with some people they don’t.
Ty is a very kind guy. He likes to role-play, I repeat his immense love for wolves, and he has a sense of humor. He loves the computer and can be very fun to talk to. If he was president, then a lot of people would know about him and maybe he could be a role model for some people. My biggest hope with Ty, would be that wolves would be highly reintroduced and the place would become more friendly to the furry canines.
I hope Ty agrees with my reasoning, but thanks for reading! =^-^=
Story
“Get out of there as fast as you can!” I yelled to my brother as the fire burned our house. My brother was in the cellar, trying to find a phone, but the fire was spreading, and fast. We didn’t have time for a phone. We’d have to try and get to town to call.
My brother didn’t hear me because he still wasn’t coming up. I growled in irritation and ducked into the cellar, quickly dragging him out. He had the size of a Husky, so I had a hard time doing so. But I finally did and we ran to the town.
Once we got to town I looked back in the direction we came from. The fire was a symbol of rage. My father’s master had not liked what we had done. It was my brother’s and my fault that the house died and our parents along with it. But we had to be careful, if father’s master found us, he’d kill us too. We’d all be dead as the mummies we once saw in a museum.
So we went to a small house. The people who lived there were our caretakers just as much as they were for the wolves that they researched. I walked inside, knowing that I didn’t have to knock. Leslie was watching TV. She took one look at our pale faces and got up and hugged us.
“What happened? I heard there was a fire down in the country.”
So I explained everything. What we had done and that our parents were dead. Leslie looked at us with sympathy and led us to the forest.
“From now on the trees are your shelter and the wolves are your family.” She said before quickly leaving us.
And that’s where we lived forever more, learning the ways of the wolves and staying away from the humans, else father’s master would find us.
Friend of the Wolf
He was afraid, but he called upon all his courage as a lion would. Then he took a step into the deep forest that was as dark as a starless night. The forest was forbidden to the entire village, but he was curious. Curious like a wolf pup just leaving the den.
At first the forest was as quiet as the village during worship time. Instead of relief, the silence brought fear. The fear was clearly visible in his dark brown eyes as his pale skin in the dark night. He heard talk of the dangers of the forest. How whoever went in never came out just as any strangers from the forest were shunned away from the village. He knew the most talked of danger in the forest. The Wolf.
The Wolf, he had been told, was clever as trapped hunter looking for survival. The Wolf was quick as an escaping rabbit and strong as an ox. He had been told to be careful. To stay away from the forest. That if he were ever to go into the forest it was as sure as day that the Wolf would eat him up.
But did he ever listen? No, he always went against the rules like a rebel. So into the forest he went. He went deeper and deeper into the forest until he was sure that he had reached the heart. The center of the darkness. And there he waited, wondering where this all-evil Wolf was.
Out of the darkness came a creature as white as snow. Its features were beautiful as the dogs that lived in the village, but there was a different aura around the creature. An Aura of knowledge and intelligence.
“Who are you?” The creature asked the boy. The creature’s voice was beautiful as a song. Most definitely feminine.
“I-I am Inukai. Are you the Wolf?”
The white creature nodded her head as a human would. “I am the Wolf. Why have you not run and hidden like all the other humans?”
“Should I?” I asked, gaining confidence since I was still alive. I started to wonder what were the facts and what was myth about this mysterious Wolf.
The Wolf now shook her head. “I am not as you humans say I am. I won’t dine on the flesh of a human, to my kind it’s as despicable as eating bugs would be for you humans.”
I smiled lightly. Deep in my heart I knew that the Wolf was indeed kind and generous rather than evil. And I knew, I had a friend in the Wolf.
Under the Sand
Sand worked its way into my ears, nose, and mouth. I couldn’t hear anything except for the pounding of my heart as I was running out of time. My lungs were on fire as I tried to get out of the pit. It felts as if needles were poking holes into them and that they would be tattered before too long.
I had been exploring a cave when there was a huge earthquake. The earthquake caused a pit to open in the ground right under me! I had fallen at least 5 feet until my body touched the ground. I immediately fell unconscious.
When I awoke, I was trying to breath. But as I opened my mouth sand poured in and caused me to choke. I was terrified. I was buried alive! I couldn’t think! The only thing running through my mind was breathe! But I couldn’t. If I opened my mouth, then the sand would fall in once again.
Fortunately, I was able to regain my focus for I was used to dangerous experiences. Though none had been this life-threatening. As quickly as I could, I tried to claw my way up and through the sand. This proved to be a difficult task. Whenever I moved some sand more sand would replace it.
I was running out of time. I had already been down here without oxygen for at least two minutes. Another two and I was dead. I clawed as much as I could. But my efforts resulted in a dead in. Before I could reach the top, I fell unconscious again.
***
The earthquake was over and I didn’t feel like getting stuck with helping everybody pick up the debris. So I slipped into the forest and decided to take a walk before going back home.
After a few minutes I ran across a cave. Curious, I went inside. Farther in there was a pit, which I figured was caused by the earthquake. When I looked closer, I though I saw something moving around under the sand.
Quickly, I jumped down into the pit and dug into the sand. There was a girl just falling unconscious. I pulled her out and onto the firm ground. Luckily she was breathing.
***
I opened my eyes and saw a boy leaning over me. Looking around I saw that I was no longer surrounded by sand. I took a deep breath of air and thought to myself. It’s amazing what is essential that people take for granted…Labels: rescue, sand, starter, story, under
